This truly is Trent’s “time to shine”

It was 2009 when I arrived at Trent to take on the role of the University’s seventh president. In talking to a great many Trent people in those early days, it was clear that the community was imagining itself anew for today’s challenges and opportunities.

The Institutional Positioning initiative being led by Julie Davis, Trent’s vice president, External Relations & Advancement, builds on the strong foundation of the new vision and mission we have since forged together, the University’s first Integrated Plan and our recent Academic Plan. It is the next logical step that we now decide as a community what does Trent stands for, why it matters and, ultimately, why future students, faculty, donors and partners should choose Trent. This truly is Trent’s “time to shine.”

True to our nature as an institution, this process will embrace the viewpoints of the entire institution, our communities and partners. Be sure to share your views by attending one the four dialogue sessions, participating through one of the on-campus installations or meetings – or completing the survey. As always, we are stronger through our multiple voices. Thank you for contributing by sharing your perspective on this cherished institution.
